KING MAGNUS & QUEEN CAROLINE

kingmagnusKing Magnus, ninth king of Alveus, is responsible for the sudden influx of wealth making its way into the kingdom. Thirty years ago, his father launched a war to conquer the remaining northern tribes. When Magnus VIII died under suspicious circumstances, Magnus IX consolidated his power and encouraged the building of mines along the frontier. The sudden richness of the kingdom has made it very attractive to suitors and other kings.
Queen Caroline was originally married to Magnus to cement an alliance between countries. She grew to love her husband very much, and bore him five children. Pious and very sentimental, she wishes to see the best of her children on the throne. Although traditional, she has been known to disregard customs when it suits her purposes.
